Does anyone know where I can find some of this stuff?

A few people have told me the easiest way to upgrade the EFI in my Vortec 5700 (with **** poppet style CSFI) is to upgrade to a marine manifold, which has the TB and all the sensors in stock locations, only difference being the marine intake has conventional injectors that are upgradeable.

So, does anyone know where I can find a good new, or used, Vortec 5700 Marine intake manifold?

it's pricey, hard to come by and requires some fabbing to make it work. you're probably looking at $1000 in parts. ave you thought about an engine swap? the early vortecs are hard to make any power out of.

haha for that cost, I'll do a junkyard vortec 5300 swap

same fabbing, but its expandable i guess?

You get that sweet LS bloodline, and all those 5.3, 6.0 and 6.2L mods, injectors, etc, huh?

I have, but im more interested in taking the 4k something for a new GM HT383 and putting the cash into a solid rotating assembly, Cam, valve job etc and making my own 383 :]

But the fuel delivery will still be lacking with the poppet setup,

suggestions?

you can upgrade your fuel spider like i did and then you can increase your fuel pressure with a bigger pump when you do any mods like a cam, tune or what not.

upper intake removal

97 chevy motor swap

i'd do the 5.3 swap if i was you though.
