Speedo reads fast, I assume that my,,

odometer is not accurate as well?

So I'm almost afraid to ask if my speedometer is fast am I traveling more ore less miles according to the odometer?

get on an expressway that has mile markers, set the cruise at 60, time it with a stop watch and you learn what the diff is

78 3/4 ton.

The tires are 245/75/16 so I think that's normal for this truck.

The truck has basiclly a completely new or rebuilt drive train. Not sure if that could have had an affect on the speedometer.

It has cruise but it doesn't work.

I've just checked it against 2 different vehicles driving on a highway together.

We communicated via our cell phones

That's what we did we got on the highway and stayed side by side for miles.

The two other trucks read identical against each other my truck read 5mph faster.

could have different gears than what it came with then. once you find out how much it is off then you can get a speedo calibrater to fix it.

a speedo calibrator for a 78 model?? i thought that was cable driven off the tranny, or rather the tailpiece.
