if the choke has been making it run rich, there is a good chance your oil is mixed with gas. An oil change and fixing the chock may help solve your problems

Man you guys are freakn AWESOME i was 2 seconds from buyin another motor and decided to get my mechanic to look her over and he said the same thing yall did !! the choke was making it run rich and dumping rediculous amounts of fuel, so i am doing a complete tuneup. getting carb setup correctly, new coil, distr cap, rotor, wires, plugs, fuel filter, oil change with lucas additive, pcv, air filter, and breather filter all from autozone and cost $115 man you gotta love that!! thanks fellas for your skilled insight. Dont think that Im gone i got more questions for yall!!!
