BDS suspension???any one here of them?

any one HEAR of them?

Hello to all, I'm new here and already looking for help. Just got my GMC a month ago and I'm looking for a mild suspension for my 2005 Sierra SLT 2500HD 4x4 diesel. Putting Gear Alloy G-707, 20" rims with 33x12.5x20 toyo open coutry M/T. Since the stock HD truck sits up quite a lot. I was thinking 4" to 6" would be a nice addition. Some shops say that a 6" lift can be turned down to close to 4". Is that correct? I've read the review that was done in one of the truck mags. I was looking for the CST but it's not popular with the shops here in our area SW Florida.

I'm looking for a nice on road ride and dependable off road. Probably won't be going off road to much in this truck, got other toys for that. Mostly sandy roads, pits and some low water crossings.
One local shop said he prefers a "BDS suspension" over the others. Their parts are warranted for life. Any thoughts? Thanks, Duffy

While I got you here. I've noticed a nice shake or shimmy in the steering wheel/column, front end when I go over a bump, develop within the month I've had it. Only 22,000 miles, truck seems to have been driven lightly. Not abused or beat. Any ideas? Should I have this taken care of before the lift is done? Since they'll be working on the front end when doing the lift could it be done then? I hate to take it to the dealer for them to hunt for the problem...

Also, the drivers seat electric motor that raises the front of the leather seat is stuck in the up position. When I hit the switch on the side of the seat the motor knocks or kicks a tiny bit like it's stuck, so it is getting electric. Could it be stuck?????? Or is the motor shot? Where can I purchase the deep socket to remove the front star/torks nut that holds down the seat rail? No one locally has it that I can find? Not enough room under the seats framework work. Thanks again, Duffy

not sure on the seat but the bump/shimmy could be tie rod end, ball joint, or wheel bearing.

Also never heard of bds suspension. couldn't tell you about em...

I have seen a few of their kits made for the new (08) dodge rams at easter jeep weekend.(moab,ut... they look like a pretty well designed kits, and they claim to offer a lifetime warranty on them..... thats a pretty big claim..... there was a few guys who had them on jeeps, and they really liked them..... I haven't had any personal experience with them though.... just seen a few around..

BDS is a great company to deal with. They make a fine product and will stand behind it. At least they did when I worked in a four wheel drive shop some years back.

I agree with lonesome here, BDS does stand behind thier products.... and most are direct fit and are easier to install then others like superlift or skyjacker

How could you not have a kit called Big Dick Suspension? The name says it all.
