Steering box.

Well I still haven't had the front end parts put on my truck yet my buddy next door has been super busy so im hoping that he can get to it this week well he told me that he wanted to take my truck to his shop some time this week BUT I just found a steering box it's a quick steer or close ratio box what do you guys think about this I have heard that it makes really no difference if my truck doesn't have one to start with I need your input?
Thanks! GMC

PS-Yes he did find some play on my box that's why im thinking of having it done right now that's it's going to be worked on and YES since my good brother that better off meaning has more money than me is going to pay for the bill I should have it done now im buying the parts my brother wanted to pay for all the work but since my son works at O'Rielly's im getting all the parts im just glad that he's paying for the work to be done. Say guys I have a good brother he doesn't have time to get on forums but I just want to say that he has helped me a whole lot and I couldn't ask for a better brother not meaning just to help me out but he has been like a second dad to me were 12 years apart but were super close. And for the price that im getting it for I can't let this deal get by me.

I know nothing about what I have on my truck already or what it came with when I bought it new back in 1993 but the seller said that it should work even if my box is not close ratio. So im taking his word plus im getting a good deal on it. Thanks anyways Leo.
Have a Great Week! GMC

So wish me luck so that it will stop big times shaking.

Another up-date my buddy replaced the parts but he said that he can still feel it bounce a little he's going to check the tires plus here's the bad news the steering box that I bought on Ebay leaked so im going to buy a new/rebuilt steering box at O'Reillys and see what happens. Plus I wrote the seller that sold me the box the seller was super so now will see what happens wish me luck maybe I can get my money back or have credit with him. It's live and learn don't buy a used steering box from Ebay. I'm just glad that it's getting fixed correct I will keep you guys up-dated well ok you can say a prayer for my baby. Oh my buddy said buddy your truck runs good and it shifts nice I said I know I love my baby in fact he said your truck is in better shape and looks better than my 2005 Chevy truck that made me feel super.
Bye! Bye! GMC

Good example of why to avoid used when chacing a problem on a good vehicle( although you do get bad new parts) Glad it's working out!
