GMC 2009 seat belt disable

I drive around on a construction site and need to figure out how to disable the seat belt warning alarm since i do not wear it around the job when im in and out. Is there a code you can do like on ford and dodge?

i have always just unplugged it from underneath the seat. on some trucks, i have found, the circuit must be complete for the light to go off so i engineer a jumper for the plug and be done with it.
but have known alot more people that do it the way leo mentioned.

look in the owners manual. should tell you how to do it. If not and you have a center jump seat with a lap belt buckle that into the drivers belt.

I do^^^ that with my truck at work, as I have to drive around and get out every 20 feet or so to inspect tires

Yeah check the book..I know ford has something like turn on the radio, turn it off, honk the horn, buckle it, un-buckle it, start position with the key, turn signal left and bam...it's off. Or do like john wayne says....smart stuff

Well that's a fast fix good idea Leo. I have used my seat belts since before it was mandatory here in TEXAS.

but what they are talking about gmc, it is a hassle when you drive 100ft at a time on private property or on the job site. i would be annoyed to.
