Shaking

So I'm glad to finally have my truck up and running again (I'm sure some of you saw my troubles in my most recent ongoing thread), but today a problem came up. For the first time, my truck was shaky and vibrating pretty bad at highway speeds. Then, when I went to slow down to turn, the truck started shaking pretty bad. I pulled over and got out to look for any obvious problems and I saw nothing. Then when I started getting going again, the next time I slowed down from higher speeds the truck started shaking. BUT, if I would just lightly press the brakes to slightly decrease my speed the truck wouldn't shake.

So I ask this... Can some kind of faulty brake part cause problems slowing down from only higher speeds but not just slightly decreasing my speed?

Is there a chance it is some sort of transmission problem?

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

do you feel it through the steering wheel or the seat? if you lightly ride the brake when it shakes does it stop? It could be caliper siezure, is there any pulseation when you use them? How are the tie rods?

the shaking is through the seat, steering wheel, everything. The whole truck starts shaking. As for the tie rods, I just replaced all of them. So I know they're good.

I think it's time to jack it up and wiggle, shake, and pry everthng in the front end to make sure it's safe

sounds like the problem comes up when you take the load off whatever is broke/loose. check your engine and trans mounts along with u-joints. how many miles on the drivetrain?

I was much sure I had "death wobble" post here before, and it vanished..
Anyhow:
idler, pitman, and hub bearings. took idler and driver side bearing times steering shock to rid of it on my truck.

Since I've had it... I've replaced all tie rod ends and steering damper and had it aligned. Replaced all the vacuum lines and the water pump, but those should have nothing to do with it. Supposedly the engine and transmission were rebuilt 25,000 miles ago.
