Question Another half baked idea

along with the homemade rear roll pan this summer , while on the toilet i came up wit this home made duel exhaust made out of round fence post or electric conduit and ran outside the frame rail (keep heat away from gas tank) and exiting in the rear lower bed panel like old 65 mustang gt exhaust outlets . COMMITS AND SUGGESTIONS NEEDED .

Hmm... redneck engineering at it's best, i like it! It's not a half-bad idea... basically galvanized tubing that won't rust right, is that the idea? I've seen several trucks with the exhaust through the roll pan like that so it's obviously do-able. Go for it. Except would the tubing handle being welded? I'm not positive it would, but worth a shot.

I believe the challenge to all of this would be getting the exhaust to the outside of the frame. You will have to go under the frame somewhere, and this will create a rather low clearance issue.
Then you will have to route this stuff around the rear springs which are outside of the frame too, and this area will be very limited on space.

You could avoid the problems that 75 pointed out by inverting the headers,
coming out through the hood, and sweeping over the roof into the bed.

Idea is no worse than other stuff present when you had the original idea.

As a bonus, as it crosses the roof (as true duals of course),
you could use a couple old kegs as cats. VERY styling !

Harder to get in garage, but you'd want to park where everyone could see it anyways.

I know... cut big holes in the frame and run the pipes through there! That'll be great
