I would spend the extra for stainless no matter what you get

i have stainless and dont regret it. dont worry about buying to fit. that large of lift is going to require some modification to make the steps accessible. if you lived closer, id tell you to drop by and we could make you something work.
first baby. what an experience. i have one 4 year old little boy that is my whole life. kids are awesome.

Why don't you remove them from a newer truck im sure if you remove the plastic you will be able to bolt correct. Maybe even the auto parts store might have something or a boat shop.
