 | slack in front differential 04 gmc extended cab 4wd While greasing front end we found 90 weight oil leakng from the seal on the driver's side of the front end. Seal is apparently bad. The flange on the differential side that the axle is bolted to has some up & down movement. Probably the cause of the seal leaking. Local GMC service rep says the seal keeps it from moving. I say he is full of ****, that the bearing on the end of the differential is going out. Any thoughts from someone? Thanks in advance |

 | I would have to say there is something OTHER than a seal issue.... I have replaced those seals before and i certainly donot think they center the shaft! Its just a seal! Unless somebody corrects me....
