77 gmc ? I looked at a 77 1/2 ton 4x4 gmc yesterday, the truck is in great condition, the moter sounds realy strong, and the trany shifts good. But every time I would let off of the gas I could feel and hear a clunk coming form under the seat, it kind of sounded like something was sepperating, it did it at all speads every time. do you think that it could be something more serous than just a u joint? if it is it could change my mind on buying it.

It could even be your trans mount just get a crow bar and try lifting up on trans you will see if it's busted.

Are you sure it wasn't the owner's bottle of vodka under the seat rolling forward and hitting the seat brace?
