I guess it never got measured, anyway after the truck quiting on me a few times over the last month or so it finally quit three times today, got it started until just this evening, daughter and I were stranded, went and bought a fuel pressure tester and with key on and cranking, no pressure showing, so looks like pump must be hooped, and now of course I have the fifth wheel hitch installed, so it will be easier to drop the tank, which of course I had just filled up last night, so it is full with 128 litres of fuel, anyway, is their a way of finding out which components to check and how, like I know there is a relay, and supposed to be someway of jumping the pump to see if it will work, but I have no clue where or how to send power from under the hood to it, or how to check the relay or any other part of the system.
Any help or diagnostics info anyone?

Start with a finger test to see if you feel fuel pump relay click at key on.
May not be pump, probably not fuse though (ECM-B 20A) since that's shared.

There is a "fuel pump prime" connector that can bypass relay if it's stuck.
Believe it's in ALDL but don't have that info right now for OBD-II connector.

Quick check that relay is getting proper signal (pull relay):
When key goes on DkGrn/Wht should get hot for short time.

Brute force method: pull relay and jump Org and Gry wires.
Listen for pump - maybe helper close by ?

Of course do all the usual visual inspections
for broken / corroded wires to tank first.

its not too hard to just pull the bed off and replace it. i think the problem is actually in the wiring connector that attaches to the pump, GM has admitted this to be a known issue

im dealing with this same problem right now too on my 01 sierra.ive had some extreme headaches too. I opted not to get the $500 pump from the dealership and went to o'reiley's for an aftermarket one. The good news the original one hasnt completely gone out yet so I can still drive my truck. but i bought the new pump friday and I work at a toyota dealership so I get a really good discount so i decided not to deal with the hassle myself and just have them put it in. turned out to be a good decision. they put the new pump in and the truck wouldnt start so it turns out I got a faulty one. They had to put the old one back in and now I have to deal with o'reiley to try and get some money back and get another part.
