| might have to have the pcm flashed and get all the stuff like vacuum lines, turn signal switch, cable and bracket for throttle body and so on. i'd just use a brick for cruise.

| I'd think you could get away without altering pcm, maybe have to hook one wire.(B10 LtBlu/Blk) You'd need to have a VSS buffer wire (DkGrn/Wht) hooked up but may already be available in harness, just not used. You'd need to tap the brake switch as well. Power comes from the "Cruise" fuse #6 You would not have to replace the turn arm if you were willing to do a little "fab" of your own on/off, set, and release switches. Use "momentary" and not on/off type switches. Those could even be drilled in the dash. Didn't think that was using a vac line, but maybe I wasn't paying enough attention. As mud said, you will need cable($35) and bracket for throttle body, and of course you will need a cruise module itself. 1988–95 MODELS The electro-motor cruise control system maintains a desired speed under normal driving conditions. The main components of the system are the multi-function lever, cruise control module, vehicle speed sensor, vehicle speed sensor calibrator module, release switches and electrical harness. The module contains a stepper motor and a electronic controller. The controller monitors the vehicle speed and operates the stepper motor. The motor operates a band and throttle cable to maintain the desired speed. The module contains a low speed limit that prevents operation below 25 mph (40 km/h). A release switch which is either mounted on the brake or clutch pedal disengages the system when the brake or clutch pedal is depressed and the throttle then returns to idle. Other info to consider: from eBay Motors: Cruise Control Unit - 94-95 Chevy GMC Truck 350 (item 200304548106 end time Mar-31-09 18:45:00 PDT) "Up for auction is a cruise control unit used in '94-'95 Chevy and GMC 1500-2500 2WD or 4x4 Trucks, Suburbans, and Blazers with 305-350-454 TBI engines. It is used. Still in pretty good condition. Cable and cable end is in good shape. Worked good in the '94 Chevy Suburban it was removed from. Guaranteed. Lists for over $500.00 if you can find it. Street Price $175.00. eBay Price under $100" |
