oh, just re-read your post, yes unfortunatley those babies have to be removed, this explains why she is locked right up, i`m actually surprised you could get it assembled with them in!

Yes I did remove the bolt that came with the locker, lol. But I didn't take out the thrust bearings in the initial dis-assemble which didn't allow enough play for the detroit to unlock. So I finished pulling it all back apart, took out the two thrust bearings put in all back in and hand tested it for operation and it is know functioning properly. Now it has a faint clicking or racheting like the manual says.

thats good! I have a feeling you played a man card and didn`t read all the directions? lol oh-well live and learn, best way to learn how somthing works is to assemble it wrong and figure it out! Now you are an expert!

Yeah, I'm thinking about putting the Aussie locker in the front of my Dana 44. It has manual lockout hubs so it won't effect street-ability until I lock them.
