Tranny pan removal

This just reminded me that someone on here told me that taking the trans pan down would be just as complicated as trying to take out my rounded drain plug.

You were right whoever you were....

They are just as stuck, if not more so....My brother and I are going to get some of grampas penetrating oil (the real deal before the chemical change) and let that sit for a hour or so. Those mother f-ers will come off then I bet.

don't forget 2 things:
1. you'll have to bend gear shifter bracket away to be able to remove the pan. 1999-05 models.
2. be VERY careful when you reinstall pan back. there are 2 connectors in the back of trannie that are known to come off from a wind blow, least to say - pan touch. ends up in do-over.
