not sure about the front but if the rear came out of the same body style it will be a direct swap.

thats what I was asking, a 3/4ton Indepentent front suspension into a 1/2 ton pickup? Or are you talking 3/4 ton solid axles front and rear?
Im not sure, but Im thinking that the 3/4 ton front setup is a bit different than the 3/4 tons...... I know that on the newer ones, like 2003, you cannot use the parts from a 3/4 ton and put it on a 1/2 ton...... tried it at work, doesn't fit........ or, are you just swapping in the front differential/axle from the 3/4 ton and making the rest of the 1/2 ton parts work with it?

unless the truck has already been sas'd (solid axle swap) there is quite a bit of work to put a solid axle under the front of an independent setup.

Not real clear on the main question. are you talking about changing the CV's shaft in the front out with CV's out of a 3/4 ton? You might not need to do that at all. You might be able to just change the spindle and or hub and keep the same cv shafts...
