yeah its wierd, when it came time to change the oil it came out red.... like rust red. couldn`t explain it much better than that. wish i would have sent it for analysis.

It is possible something else other that the oil caused it, beats me really. not putting mobil down i`m sure its at the top of the premium oils list! people use what they use! I`d try some royal purple but its twice as expensive as the castrol syntec i run and i think thats expensive enough!!

Interesting! I think autoparts stores carry an oil test strip.

I use Castrol High Mileage oil on our older MPV it's the only oil that will keep the HLA's from making ugly ticking sounds. The stuff has something in it that stops the ticking sound and I know that a many of other MPV owners use it as well so after seeing what it has done for our older MPV I use it on my 93 F/S GMC I have always used regular Castrol but I changed after seeing how good it is.

Delo? Is that a brand? I've never heard of it.

Delo is the only Oil that we run in the engines of the equipment at the mine........... we change oil way to often to use synthetic....... besides the cost........... We also run the Delo 5w30 in all the pickup trucks..... but when Cheveron has an account as large as Simplot, we get a super good deal on it, since in a month we will go through 9000 gallons of 15w40
