GMC 2500HD Steering Vibration at Low Speed

I have a problem with steering vibration when going over small bumps at low speed. We have been to several dealers and none have been able to diagnose or fix the problem. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I am told that it is a common problem with GM truck steering boxes.

more info on the truck always helps....do you have a caliper starting to sieze?

Does your truck have a steering damper?

theres a common problem with the steering shafts on these trucks, the grease slides down to the bottom of the shaft and it develops a vibration and a thumping sound, that only gets worse over time. our 01 and 03 trucks both have this problem. this is one possibility, it could be something else tho.
