98 GMC Brake Issue

Have a 98 GMC 454/7.4 4x4.
About three years ago started having problems with brakes. Ended up replacing the ENTIRE brake system front and back (new drums, seals, springs, shoes....rotors,calipers, pads, lines, etc..)

Seemed to go OK until about a year ago. Started having a "chirping" or "barking" noise in the front right when the brake was applied. Pretty much a "whoop-whoop-whoop-whoop" noise as you came to a stop.
Had the front rotors turned and it seemed to be fine for about three months.
Now...it's doin the same thing with the barking sound.
My guess is rotor is warped, but would it not stop after having them turned? Also if it is warped, would mechanic not realize this and change it? Mechanic is VERY reputable with highly succesful business. One whom I trust.
Has anyone else had similar issues?
Suggestions?
Thanks

I had a similar problem and I pulled the calipers apart, cleaned the slider pins and lubed them up, checked everything out, couldn't find anything, and it never did it again..... I think Leo may be right..... you might want to pull the brake apart, clean everything up real good, and lube things real nice, and see what happens..... just inspect everything for damage,,,,,, If you see something that looks questionable, check it again..... might even compare it to a new one at a parts store....

by chance did you put on some cheapo rotors and ceramic pads?

I`ve got the same truck but my issues are with warping rear drums, putting on a new set tommorow. dang $350 bucks for drums shoes and seals, and i still have to install them!

When I had rotors replaced three years ago (which by the way was not done by the shop that I use now), they supposedly put factory GM rotors back on it. Or at least that is what I told them to do and what I paid for.

When I have had it checked in the past, that's pretty much what they do...clean and lube everything and it seems to be OK for a while.

Mud and dirt can't be the problem. I NEVER take it off road and I live 2 miles from my job. I avarage about 8,000 miles per year on it. It currently has 104,000 miles.
Thanks for the help. Any other advice is greatly appreciated.
