80 psi of oil pressure

I have a 2003 chevy truck 4.7 liter 66700 miles on it the oil pressure gauge has 80 psi at all times. What could be the problem???????????

I bet your gauge is messed up... could be a ground....

probly, or bad sending unit, thats probly the chapest thing to try first. but are you sure its not a 4.3l? never heard of a 4.7l, unless its a dodge....

4.3l is v-6 mine is a 4.8l

Deja vu?

Actually this TSB might apply more to you than to the gentleman who was asking about a recall on the sender. They make reference to the 8.1 liter engine only, but I didn't look too hard (for more TSB's) so there may be trouble on other applications.
