Agood friend of mine owns a tire shop here and he always says as long as the rim is not wider than the tread footprint, you will be ok.

without knowing the backspacing on the wheel, it will make it hard to determine how much of that tire is going to be rubbing suspension the harder you turn. also, what year model is this truck??

yeah, a 31/10.50r16 will fit on a 10 inch wide rim...... but whay not 8 nch wide? it makes your tire look bigger.... I have run 10.50's on 8 inch rims for years, and never had one come off

My friend with the tire shop said that if the rim is wider than the footprint, it puts more stress on the sidewall. I too have ran wider tires than rims and haven't had any trouble. We got in this discussion because he says he can't warranty a tire if the tread is wider than the rim? I would think it would run out fine but you use your own discression on that.

| 33x12.50 will fit a 10 inch wheel well. 15.50 will pull the sidewalls in a bit.

Im running 31/10.50/15 on 10" wheels now if I turn a certain way and hit a bump they will rub I mean there super close to the back fender well so I won't get that size again it's just that I got a super deal on them and I don't abuse my truck I baby it because it's a cruiser. Look how they look below. I think your going to have problems have the tire shop try one on for you and check but remember if you do any hunting or ride on a bumpy road they might rub. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Okay, now that I REread the original post, 1 33/15.50 tire will fit on a 16x10 rim...... Im not sure what it will do as far as the tread pattern sitting the way it needs to... It may pull it into a bow...... If your not going to be driving on the highway, and all it'll see is mud, I'd say try it and see..... But, Im kinda guessing that it's gonna make the tire wear funny...... however, I could be wrong........
