| ok have not been on in a few days so.... turn signals... i bought new lens but i seen one with out them and really liked it so i will either get some to put in the grille or get led bullet looking ons and put them by the head lights. inspection... i have the title in my name so dont need one but i think they might look at it before i tag it. if they dont like the hood i have another one with turnsignals to pass with lol!! and as far as i know we dont have safty inspections i think they only inspect car from out of state when you bring them in to tag them and when you have a builder (something you built) tailgate chains... they are not bad but i dont like them the pickups just look cleaner without them. now if it was a stepside i would have left them on. |

| yeah inspections, what a joke !!! When I lived in CA and I was a certified smog test tech, and ... Let me change this story. I had a buddy in CA that was a certifed smog test tech. If a vehicle didn't pass, and cust had a few bucks, it was passed by pulling up a differant vehicle of similar expected emissions to shove the sniffer into the tailpipe. Always a way to get around inspections. OK did safety inspection at one time too until a few years and they realized, newer safer cars, and the ones that did not pass, were being cheated to pass anyway, so they got rid of it. No more inspections in OK for anything. Proof of insurance is all you need these days to transfer title, and tag a vehicle. Now a cop can pull you over and give you a ticket though. And they can even give you a ticket for say cutting of your cat. But I do not know that its ever enforced. Around here they pick on people for driving with slicks on their car, window tint to dark, license plate light out and other stupid stuff just to pull you over and check you out.

Don't see any signals on that one at all though, so I'm assuming it's a show car. It'll be interesting to see how yours comes out.

| yeah, where is the signals on that truck? JMO, I do like that, but I think I like it better with the factory lights. But thats me, I am an old guy I guess, and I prefer to see those old trucks close to stock without major mods. NIce paint jobs, pin stripes, nice wheels etc, but stock for the most part. Looks like you have a nice grill and tailgate for yours. Keep good track of that tailgate. I am sure you are aware, that will be a very tough item to replace. I had a chrome grill too, but it was not as nice as that one. You might check into getting a good quality chorme job on your grill you have, and have them do your front bumper and bolts at the same time. You have an awesome project there. I think I told you I had a 64 Longbed 3/4 ton. Man, I sure miss it. I hope to have another some day.
