| 95 truck barely runs when cold i have a 1995 gmc c1500 4.3 v6 and in the winter i have to let it warm up fully or it is un driveable meaning it stalls and doesnt want to start again and in the summer for the first ten minutes of driving when you step on it it stutters real bad and sometimes will smoke black and make a pop sound what the heck could this be it drives me nuts ans soon as the truck is up to operating temp it purrs it also seems to run rich when i tow my cmaper or its under load when hot and stepping on it it looks like its a diesel from behind |

| I think you should check your timing on the engine. If thats not it its definatly getting way to much fuel. Maybe a fuel pressure regulator is not working properly. Sounds like its getting flooded out when you start it. Have you tried anything yourself?

| timing was checked by a mechanic , has too many new parts to list all emission controls changed and i run so much injector cleaner through this my tank midas well be full of just cleaner you think fuel pressure regulator ? |

| Well the black smoke would indicate that its definatly getting to much fuel. it could be a pressure regulator letting to much fuel into the fuel rail or even maybe the computer itself is telling the injectors to disperse to much fuel into the cylinder.

| I'd want to get a scanner on it, and a 5 gas analysis while it was cold.
__________________ If the guys who design 'em had to take one home, use it every day for 2 years, and do all the maint and repairs themselves, cars would have a button on the dash to change the oil, filters & plugs. |

| have had a scanner on it no codes and the computer was just tuned by westers and this black smoke issue was prior to the tune |

| to much fuel was always the case then. i'm still partial to the regulator being bad other than that i'm out of ideas for ya. sorry i couldn't be of more help.

| the regulator being right at the throttle body? i have always suspected that reman throttle body i bought to be **** since i bought it |

| What kind of fuel injection do you have in the truck throttle body injection or electronic fuel injection?
