 | cd player ignition problem I am trying to hook up a cd player in a 05 sierra and i had it all hooked up and it wouldn't work. i tracked it to the ignition wire. i purchased a new harness and this one came with extra igniton wire. does anyone know a solution or do i have to run a new wire? |

 | Welcome to the forum and howdy from TEXAS. Can't you just run the power wire to the fuse box where your radio connects also place a in-line fuse on it just to be safe. I hope I understood what you meant. |

| those truck require a harness that has the extra ignition wire, i do beleive. i kno they require an extra power wire, i think thats what its for. |

| Doesn't it require that extra power wire just for the memory I think that's all what it's for but im old school I might be wrong. Go to Crutchfield.com and ask them. |
