Move it or remove it?

To move it (like for taking the belt off) just put a long wrench on the bolt and pivot it. There's spring tension there, and it's easy to slip, so use some care. But once you pivot the tensioner you can slip the belt off and let it slowly go back against the stop.

To remove it do the above, then just unbolt it.

its says it just needs to be moved out of the way...Thats the only way to get to the actual bolts holding down the thermostat housing...

So take the belt off first then unbolt it and move it. I don't understand the problem...

it didnt say anything about having to completely remove the belt tensioner, which i did now. It just said i had to move the single bracket that bolted down to the thermostat housing!Oh well, now i just have to get it all put back together...Ive never done anything with belts...
