4.3 stroker ?

ive heard that you can use 350 pistons etc to build a 4.3 engine could you bore out a 4.3 so that you could use 383 stroker pistions

never heard of a 4.3 being able to be bored out with enough stroke to make 383 cubes. i dont think the cylinder walls could handle that much of a bore.

that is not what i meant , i mean to bore the 4.3 as much as you would a stock 350 and use 383 pistons to make like a 295 ci out of the v6

Wouldn't you have to actually stroke it to use the pistons ?
If your gonna spend that kind of money just go to the 350.

The stroke is what your looking for, bore will only net you a few cubic inches.

I see no reason why you couldn't. A 4.3 is a 5.7 350 with 2 cylinders chopped off the back, so yes you can use 350 pistons, and 350 rods too, along with timing chain, timing cover etc.
