They WHAT???? Let me guess. They masked it off with Duct Tape too. Must have been Pepe and Jose on that yob too.

I also liked the codes better in the 80's trucks. They actually had the description of what the code was written out next to the code. Very Nice. But very few of these trucks I have had them in it. I think half of them did.

No, they used regular masking tape (had to peel some off the rear "over 80" light) but did a pretty poor job of it. In certain lighting conditions you can see areas they missed with the roller, and areas were they taped around lights (1" wide "frame" around the light). But in normal daylight it doesn't look so bad. I'll probably repaint the whole back again next summer, if I can find a garage it'll fit in that I can use for a few days.

It's a plain steel back, not an automotive grade finish on it, so I'll probably just HVLP it with some Rustoleum gloss white.

Bernie - I found a code missing from your list.
Have not been able to find it anywhere else either.
Some of the codes are incorrect, with a caveat...
some RPOs are year dependent.
Over all still the best list to work with I've seen.
I swiped my codes to a short list rapidly.
More convienent than trying to squeeze them in between
the ones the facto book bothered to print.
signed,
Happy customer

I'm not sure where that list originated. I found it after doing a search for RPO's on the web. It was only on one server, so I figured I'd better grab it and put it on mine, this way there's at least two sources for it in the net in case one goes down.
