| 2000 GMC 1500 transmission problem Hello everyone, I live in Northern MN and whenever the air temp drops below 36 degrees my trucks transmission stays in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear longer than normal...It wont shift out of 2nd gear until 35 MPH..3rd gear is like 50 MPH... it weird, what would cause this...when the truck is at normal running temp it acts fine....thanks for anyones input eric |

| tranny fluid is too cold and is hard to pump. how long do you let the truck sit and idle before taking off?? |

| It's normal for the transmission to shift like that until the fluid is warmed up. |
