91 jimmy s15 help

i have a 91 jimmy 4.3 4x4 auto. i cant get it to start w/o spraying starter fluid into it first then when it does start it only runs for a few minutes then dies, it has gas coming from the injectors. i have some vac hoses missing but i dont know if that would make it stop getting gas. any help from you guys would help me alot. also where could i go to get a vac diagram?

a vac leak of multiple lines would make the mix to lean, try plugging them

check your fuel filter and fuel pressure. there should be a vacuum diagram under the hood some place, usually on the fan shroud or radiator support. when you find the problem post back and let us know what it was.

not sure on that truck, some have schrader valve you can hook the pressure gauge up to, some you have to disconnect the fuel line and hook the gauge up to that. Try pinching off the return line to see if it stays running, that will increase the pressure.

i dont have a valve to check the pressure so i remoived the fuel line from the trottle body and nothing came out even when i cranked it over. i replaced the fuel filter and still no luck. i had it running a few times by spraying starter fluid into it and it would stay running as long as i kept spraying. any ideas

New filter and still no fuel. The filter could be in backwards or your fuel pump died. Try hitting the fuel tank with a rubber mallot while someone tries cranking it. If it starts then your fuel pump is shot and you'll need another one.

i believe the fuel pump is going out or went out, i donnt get any fuel to the throttle body or the injectors from the lines.( i removed the line to see if i got fuel there, no luck) i put in a new fuel filter . any way to fix this cheap? also would the tank and pump from a 98 or 99 bravada w/ the same engine work in my truck ( its free) my truck wont start at all now cus i had a small fire and had to hose it down, im letting it dry out to see itf it workss.
