Feels real good when you make a repair that actually makes a positive change in your truck, doesn't it?

It's not like doing a PM task (e.g. changing the oil) - those jobs need to be done, but you never see the results.

Results generally only come from PM jobs when they are not done - and most of the time they ain't good!

Make sure you stop by and check in once in awhile now - and not just with a problem. You might be able to help someone with a truck like yours. These vehicles are becoming more rare each year and personal, hands on experience is key!

Yes, by all means Dcp, hang out occasiaonlly. You never know. The simpleist little thing can be a big help to someone else. You did a fine job on the updates and explaining your problem to get help too. That is huge in many cases. Thanks again for the follow ups.

Thanks guys! You are welcome. I will try to check in from time to time. I appreciate the feedback. I didn't know if I was being too detailed so the feedback helps me a lot. Also glad this post may help others. I downloaded it as a pdf in case I need any of the other info in the future. This is a great site with great folks participating. Yes, it is a lot more gratifying to fix something like this rather than routine stuff. It is a welcome change of pace from my job, too. But I am thankful I have a job in this economy. All the best!
