| Glove box lock Think we've been through this before but, does anyone know how to remove the lock set from the glove compartment so I can paint it? It's in my lap right now. Any help?

| Yes. The 81-87 group (up till 91 if Suburbans are incl). Never mind - the boy just got it! He's saying it was threaded together - through the hole. The shiny silver twist knob on the outside and the face of the cylinder up against the plastic liner. I'll take a picture - you never know, someone might do a search someday. And there is always the very real possiblity that I will forget how it goes back together and require guidance.
