Welcome to the forum and howdy from TEXAS. You said you changed out the fuel pump in the engine well it's not in the engine it's in the gas tank. What did you change out in the engine thinking it was the pump also turn your key forward to where your dash lights turn on and listen for the pump can you hear it? And the reading of the gas gauge it sounds like the sending unit is bad.

check the OBD1 codes and you should be able to narrow your problem down. first thing first, your truck has no carb. do you have spark at the spark plugs?? do you have a 12volt source at the fuel injectors?? both injectors??

Welcome to the forum omegapi.

Good info on how to pull codes from that OBD-I you have (pre-1996)
Just do a quick search of forum for "paperclip" (not kidding)
One good one:
Just Wondering

Don't feel bad about having left some info out, happens alot.
More you can think to add the better, no such thing as too much.
And if you skip something someone will probably ask.

Sounds like a similar problem to what i have going on. Check the codes first , and see if any are TBI or fuel related , and go from there.
I have a post up as well asking for help - and its pretty lengthy - so let me know if you figure out what your problem is - mine sounds similar , but with other issues as well
