09 GMC Canyon "Clunk"

Hi all, i got my 09 Canyon in June, and it has done this since ive had it probably but i didnt notice right off and havent had time to get into the dealer as yet, but whats happening is this..
Its an automatic 4 cylinder 2 wheel drive extended cab, and when i start it and drive away at a normal speed, ill hear a "clunk" which is very similar to the sound you hear when you run over a sewer grate when the trans changes into second, and then after that i dont hear it again unless i park it and start again, anyone experienced anything like this?

could be a dry slip yoke. cheap fix is to grease it, but if it continues, the dealership can install a nickel plated one. at least i think that's what it's made of.

That is exactly what it is, a dry slip yoke, take the drive shaft out out and grease the splines, it'll take care of your problem

Or before you do that...

Also, go back to the dealer and tell them you want the proper yoke in there, GM told me that it has to be a nickel plated yoke for that noise to go away permanately, to buy one, they are 600 bucks retail which is why I am still greasing my yoke today

Tell the dealer there is a TSB on it, it should be under warranty for you cause the truck is new
