I have seen this programmer mentioned before. It's on my wish list. While searching for info on how to use it I came up short. Do you have a link that explains the basics of how a novice does the programming or is all that explained in the owners manual?

I see for example you can pre program shift points,3 modes of settings from economy to performance etc. How well do you need to understand this before you spend the $400 on it?

Thanks

To the OP you might want to also think of under drive pulleys.

I have the hypertech hyperpack for my truck i have the 5.3 sierra.. The tuner allows you to do a numerous amount of things its 500$ but i deffinatly think i got my moneys worth, look into it its very cool, it allows you to program almost everything any way you want to. I ordered it right off of jegs.com. go there they have done a great job with everything ive ordered, just type in the search box on thier sight, hyperpack. And if you get a CAI i personally like the Volant cold air, it works great.

we have one guy here that put a whipple on a 98 but his was a 454. dramatic number increases.
power adding is easy but you failed to mention the key ingrediant behind all this. whats the budget look like and how much do you have set aside for this??
