No comment on the Jammy pictures... You guys crack me up

I was reading everything, sorry I didnt post earlier, but I did some bit hunting today...

First off, let me say, I cant believe whats goin on. I went to partsource (Canadian version of autozone) And ONE guy had HEARD of the tool, but didnt know how to get ahold of it. Fine. Went to Canadian tire, No clue what it was. THEN (Get this...) I went to the local GM dealership. Guess what? And I quote "No, no, its not a specialty tool made by GM, just a standard Inverted-TORX bit." None of the guys knew what I was talking about. One of the Mech's had a Standard inverted-torx bit (not extended) that was an E4, I knew that was the size, but doubted it would be able to get into the tight spaces of the Column. I then looked at my phone, which told me I was already 10 minutes late for work...

Not sure what to do now. Anyone wanna lend me the tool? You name the deposit and I'll pay shipping...

Thats the latest progress on Project Z71.

I found a torx screw that the head fit on it when I changed mine. welded the screw to an old screwdriver.

I have made a few tools myself. We are supposed to be stupid you know and not able to do that. Supposed to go to the stealership and let them rip our head off and poop in our neck. In his case the stealer was stupid and did not even know of the tool.

Well I went out and visited the truck today, I wanted to fix one of the tires, as it was flat. Luckily, It was just a bead leak. Anyway, The tire I took off (front passenger side) revealed that the stabilizer bar on that side was not connected. There was no bolt. Is there a specific reason why it could have been disconnected? Could it have gotten pulled out by excess travel? Remember, the truck was stolen and looks like it was taken off road.

I have always said a real mechanic does not buy tools he makes tools. I have seen at least twice guys at the shop make a tool from another rather then spend the stupid amount of money to buy it from the tool guy.
