Well can't say this will work for all or any of you but in live in Michigan and i run 15-40 in the summer and 10-30 in the winter in my cars and trucks i like to use that Shell Rotella T its expensive but sure is a good oil

Sorry for the thread 'jack'... but while we're on topic, any opinions to what I should run on a high mileage (210 thousand) 97 305? (conventional, i dont wanna risk switching to sythetic with such high miles)

I went with conventional since i dont know the condition and age of the gaskets/seals...I've read where sythetic can leak

either mobil 1 high mileage or castrol gtx high mileage. I've swore off fram after learning how their filters are constructed. I've learned a lot about filters in the last mouth so now i use a mobil 1 extended performance filter and i love it.

Yeah i agree with wyley frams suck i like the mobil 1 or the delco filters

These oil filters where used in the same car for the same mileage 4500 using the same oil. The one on the left is a fram. the one on the right is a mobil 1.

I've always like NAPA parts...since 99% of most local auto shops get parts from them plus they seem to always have parts where most dont...the guy that was there told me their brand oil is made by Valvoline and their brand cost alot cheaper
