trouble with hot starts

I have a 2000 sierra and it will stard fine in the morning but after it warms up it has a terrible time starting but not if i start it up right after i turned it off, only if it sits for at least 5 minutes after being warmed up. It will start fine again after it cools compleetly down.

HMMMMM kinda sounds like the starter solenoid is getting ready to **** out but thats weird that it will start right up after you shut it down usually it will start hard all the time when its hot but thats where id start could pull the starter off and have the solenoid tested at the local parts store

I would be leaning toward fuel presure regulator or fuel pump getting weak. Sounds like a vapor lock kind of situation. So you shut it off hot, then it will start right up, why?, because the fuel has not had time to vaporize just yet. Wait a few minutes, fuel has vaporized. Wait til cool, fuel vapor disappears. But, can't really call it a vapor lock problem because its a computer controlled, injected engine. So where is the fuel vaporizing at? Maybe in the fuel rail, and the regulator or pump is not pushing enough pressure to get through and push fuel to the injectors. I would do a fuel pressure test. Just my thinking out loud and guessing. How about any codes or CEL.

I agree with what everyone else is saying about the fuel, I would look at the fuel delivery system all of it and see what is happening.
