    2002 gmc brakes locking up!!

BRAKES LOCKING UP.....pads all replaced, including inner parking. Lines flushed and new fluid. The problem shows it's self more on the passengers side.
    Master ?
    hydraulic pressure?

My thoughts a lot of times when you push piston back , on calipers they get stuck. They get a build up on them making a ring around piston , when you push them back get stuck.

    Welcome to the forum bossman.
What model is this ? what trans (yes it matters)
Does this only occur with the rears ?

Have you checked codes, seen any dash lights?
This could be ABS related or one of the recalls.

Hey crabtruck, thank you for the help.
the truck is a 2002 GMC 2500HD CC, LB, SLE, 2 WD.
She sports a Vortec 8100 and an Alison Trans (1000 I think).

    1. the challenge started Rt Frt Pass. A shimmy.
I replaced the worn tire and had the front end aligned. She still pulls.
    2. I had driven less than 5 miles, arrived home and the Rt Rr Pass was smoking "BIG Time". I removed the tire, calipers and pads. I found no problems. inspected inner parking brks. No apparent problem. I replaced them, since everything open.

When i start the truck, she rolls well. When I start the braking, they never seem to "completely" release.
NOTE...the truck has not been in use for about 3 years. If I say 1000 miles a year, that would be alot.

Kind of sounds like an ABS problem, a scan that can actually read those codes would help you (not all scanners will read them). There are threads on forum on checking that front wheel sensors are not causing activation due to dirt or corrosion at hub/sensor. Basically you should have a clean +350mV at 1 rotation per second with sensors unplugged. The manual trans had a problem with rt rr shoes due to bad cable design and there was a recall for that. Does not sound like your problem, more likely to cause brake fail, not lock. If this is a sudden and new problem then this is not you: wiring design change from 02 to 03 caused wrong parts to show up with trailer control. This is also a good time to check that the ground for the ECBM (brake mod) is clean and tight, located usually on the frame under driver. get the brake codes read if possible and consider a full re-bleeding. Also inspect any rubber hoses for internal failure that causes them to act like one-way valves, they sometimes split inside where you don't see it.

just did the brakes on my 2003...had to change all 4 calipers, the phenolic pistons were sticking! Was able to get metal for the front but only phenolic for the rear. if your calipers or ok, make sure there is no rust buildup behind the stainless slides and the slides are lubed

Could be one of those rubber brake lines . Broke down inside not letting pressure back. Just.... pontifacating?
A stuck caliper will make it pull , left/ right which ever is stuck.
