exhaust help....please read!

hey all,

i just bought a 1999 GMC yukon, and it needs a louder muffler, so i figured i would just go single in single out, nothin big and show truck like. Just to get a lil sound ya know?......Well i have no idea what to get, becuase i really dont want to get somethin thats gonna echo in this truck when im driving to long island for school and rattle my head to migrain range from too much vibration, not to mention some cops in my town dont exactly like my choice in loud mufflers, so i gotta keep it cool this time. So does anybody have any suggestions as to what kind of muffler i should put on it?

thanks

I like the 40 series. Try ebay you can get one off there for $46 plus like $12 shipping. The dude's name is performancepeddler. Good luck!!

Imco

you should check out an IMCO performance exhaust system, especially if decreased resonance in the cab is what your looking for, not to mention that they sound awesome, check out the sound clips at grabthepower.com

I had a 1997 Chevy 1/2 ton with the 350. It was a true dual, with 2 40 series 2-1/4 single inlet/outlet. It sounded awesome, but it wasnt loud enough to irritate you. I had no problems runing with the windows down and the radio up...

think you should go with the super 40 series they are black. they have a lower tone than a regular 40 series i installed duals on my 4.8 serria gmc and dumped them behind the cab and love it. you can't even hear them going down the road unless your foot wants you to hear them.

i got a chevy 1500 with a custom exhaust i did myself.... a flowmaster 40 with dynomax cat and ford lightning style pipes..... short pipes that come out before the tire on the passenger side... sounds good and strong.... not overly loud like a cherrybomb, id say a flowmaster 40 series one in, one out would prob be exactly what your looking for.... sounds good, not obnoxiously loud, and more power. plus it should give you a hint that every person on this forum is givin you the same advice.....
