| Auto Locking Hubs Has anyone re-installed a set of auto locking hub on their pre-88 4x4. My '84 1/2 ton origonally came with the auto hubs but were changed for the manual type. What are some the reasons for switching to the manual hubs? And are there any ways to keep the auto's in good working order if they were on the truck? |

| Manual hubs are better IMO , They free up horsepower when you are not in 4x4 by not turning alot of unneeded front tnd components. I removed the autos from most every truck i have had with them. i have found autos to get stuck in one position or the oter and I just can rely on that. I usually put mine hubs in whenever i go out in the woods, But only throw the shifter into 4 wheel drive when I need it.
