Replace the whole thing with good replacement part, DO NOT USE FLEXIBLE LINE THERE. If it isnt rated for the load you might be in for a shock the first time you try to stop.

If you just replace the bad section you will need to remove the line to get the flaring tool on and buy new ends for it anyway, Seems like a waste to go thru all that for old lines.

true, but if money is as issue..... i dont know whether it is for you or not, but if it is, it can be reapaired and not need all new lines

If the line is rusted then by moving it and twisting it, in order to cut and flare it, the line may break in another place.

I know money is tight for some folks but if you hit someone else then you'll have bigger problems than a $20.00 brake line.

There are hydraulic flex hoses that can be used and there are several places that can make them as well (O-Rilley comes to mind).

I normally dont replace anything in my vehicle unless it is with something comparable to the original.

I agree with the change of the entire line here. Replacing just the bad section may cause breaking problems on some other part of the line.

Don't forget to bleed the brake system after replacement.

Why replace half a rusted line anyhow. Just get new and dont worry about it for a long time.
