Rough Running

I have a 95 k2500 5.7L, two weeks ago i replaced the transmittion, just recently once the truck warms up, ( dosn't happen right off.) could be 5 miles down the road or an hour into the drive. The truck will start acting like it is running out of gas, the rpm's will rev up like it wants to downshift and go, then the engine rpm's will "die" like i shut the truck off, then it will take off like nothing happened.
I do have a minor pin sized hole on the filler neck of the gas tank, could this be the problem? Does this truck have a totaly pressurized fuel system?I am going to do the plugs, wires, cap, rotar, air filter this weekend to see if that helps.

The strange thing is when i run with my plow on the truck 8ft minute mount, this problem never happens. I have had the new trany check by two other people and they say everthing is fine. THANKS FOR THE HELP, Smokejumper

Sounds like it could be water in the bottom of the tank. Its just a mater as to when the fuel sloshes around and gets pigked up by the strainer about the center of the tank and gets sucked up and pushed into the fuel filter. With the added weight of the plow would let the fuel run to the front of the tank and would not get sucked up. Thats my educated guess anyway.

yea try some dry gas and make sure that you get enough to have it run through all your fuel...

If there is that much water in there, then you need to remove the tank and clean it out. I usually remove the bed and it makes easy access to the tank
