| I have the hypertech and I only adjusted shift firmness and did not play with the shift points. Now I get a good firm shift each gear which is better for the trans then letting it slip in. |

| I'm lost you asked what to set up your hypertech shift points at right. In the programming it asks if you have stock tires, stock thermostat, what fuel you are using and you answer them with yes or no questings on the programmer right? It also asks how you want to adjust your shift points. I just siad I did not play with the shift point but I think it was the next questing in the programmer where you can adjust shift firmness. The progam overall gives you added hp and torque with playing with timing and fuel curves. I guess I don't understand what you are looking for out of the programmer and I did not see much results with it on my own 2001 chevy 5.3 |

| The goal I am trying to reach is a setting that gives me the power where I need it and not where I don't so I was wondering what kind of settings you have yours at, I gave you the specs above on my set up and it just isn't working for me. I have taken a Hemi single cab before hands down and after messing with my power programmer a bit I lost to a Hemi crew cab and that shouldn't be happening it seems as if the power is in the wrong place due to a poor set up, I want the powerband to be broader so that if I am at lower speeds I can hammer down and the punch is there to pull away because I really don't need it up on, on the highway. So what would you suggest. |

| did you change any engine settings with the programmer? If so you have to run high octane fuels or it will not run right.

| I understand that. Why don't you just play with it a few times and see where you get the best results. A little trial and error never hurt.
