| drop the motor on the mounts and relocate the trans. to meet the engine. the mounts should match up without doing this though.

| if this is a s-10 truck then you will need to do some cutting, but if it is a full-size truck then it should fit with no problem since v-8's were a factory option. what year is the truck and the engine?

| maybe i am missing something here, but what did the 350 come out of, you might need mounts from a chevy truck if the 350 is not from another chevy truck, i believe the frame stays stationary, but the mounts on the engine can be changed, I stand to be corrected. If you have to cut the firewall out to get it in, its the wrong mounts for sure! |

| my truck is a 1993 gmc sierra 2wd...original with a 4.3l (262) i got the 5.7 (350) from a 1991 gmc 4wd... both fullsize and eevrything...but the mounts are nothing alike... the 350 mounts 4 1/2 inches further ahead than the 262 moutns...and the mounts are not bolted to the frame...they are welded... and i have a crossmember that my motor the 4.3 sat on and the 350 need to sit lower than that and the crossmember is welded on also...a bunch of problems here...everyone i talked to said that it would fit...(mounts, electrical, no crossmember problems. all i would have to change was the computer...) well here is a prime example that it wont come even close to fitting...i thnk im just going to buy a new 4.3 and put that 350 out with the trash!!! |
