06 Sierra trailer brakes help

I just hooked up a brake controller on My 06 Sierra 2500HD. The light on the controller cames on but there are no brakes unless I do it manually. Is there a fuse somewhere that would control the power when I step on the brake petal? Thanks..

Have you adjusted it properly. Also those things mostly work at certain angles. You cannot tilt them to far. When does the light come on?

As soon as the trailer is plugged in the light glows green. When I go to level the sensor per the instructions the light is supposed to turn orange or red but it does not. The brakes engage with the manual slide on the controller but not when I step on the brake pedal.

I just hooked up a Prodigy brake controller on my '05 GMC and had to change the red wire in the connector harness which is the brake light signal. This is because GM changed their wiring in '03 and some of the brake controller manufacturers do not reflect this change.
