stop light switch?

anyone out there happen to know where the stop light switch is located on a 2500 serria p-u truck 1996,,,am trying to tie into the cold side wire for trailer brake controller,,,,i can barely see the wire attached to something above the pedal lever but am wondering if the switch itself is hidden back there or in a different localtion ...thanks a milliion if ya have any ideas.

Should be above the brake pedal assembly.
