Smile '89 GMC S15 won't restart after setting

My brother's GMC S15 (4 cyl, EFI) will start fine, even restart fine if done within 30-45 minutes. After that time has passed, it might not start again for 2 hours. He replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel pump sock, exhaust sensor, throttle position sensor, another part on the throttle body that we can't recall the name of, fuel pump relay, computer, plugs, wires, rotor, cap, muffler and the EGR valve. All within the last 6 months but the problem continues. The starter cranks fine and the battery is new. The truck has 135k miles on it. Any ideas? Someone told me the starter was probably "swelling" but would it still crank and crank well if that was the problem?

usualyy you can take it in and have your local part store check it. It's about a $35.00 part.

Wow, There is no way to properly diagnosis this without more info. Clarify wont start, Does the motor turn over, Does it turn over fast enough. Does it need to be jumped to get it started if it sets too long? How do you get it to start if it sets over 45 min? I can guess at parts all day, but would rather help you out. We need more info. also include anything else relevant.
