| i forget what kind of pistons you were planning on using now that CG brings it up. were you planning on using forged pistons or what?? i dont believe that 87 or even 89 octane would hurt or hinder 9.5.1 compression but would be nervous about the life of the components with a higher compression ratio. try it and see what happens. but i think an extra 10 cents a gallon for plus gas would be worth it as security on the money that you are fixing to invest. always be safe than sorry. yes?? |

| I put in wiseco piston's. I do plan on running 89 octane gas. Just wanted to dyno it on 87 to see how much timing could be put in it. The engine made 424 hp at 6,500 and 441 tq at 3,200. From 2,800 rpm to 6,200 it made over 400 ft lb tq. |
