Best riding suspention lift kit

As I get older I find myself wanting a smoother ride in my 2005 GMC 1500HD with quadrasteer. I would like to lift the truck (maybe 4 inches?) and improve the ride for around town usage. I primarily use the truck as a commuter truck and hunting on weekends. I was wondering if airbag suspension would fit my bill or traditional spring suspension. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

a smooth ride with an HD truck, that would be an oxymoron. are you wanting to raise your truck 4 inches because it helps in the terrain or because you think that it might help your ride. an airbag suspension is not going to help your ride, trust me. the truck that we got rattles your brains out when it aint got a load. i believe someone mentioned one of them water bladders that fits in the bed. never tried one but they sound like they would work pretty good.

i know youve heard of them. they look kinda like water bed bladders that fit in the bed. it has baffles in it that prevents water from sloshing back and forth and is supposed to weigh down the rearend a few hundred pounds.

Have you heard of Ready Lift? They make and sell a kit that they claim goes on in less than an hour . And it will give you 1.5 to 2.5 inches of lift for a little over 200.00 Dollars. I hope this helps
