 | 96 GMC truck, hard shifting after a alternator failure ? Hi Guys , I have a 96 GMC truck , the alternator went out and caused some serious shifting issues when it was going out in a matter of 5 minutes. replaced the alternator and truck ran fine for a bit till it warmed up then started to shift hard in 2nd and 3rd. the service engine light is now staying on, so i took it to autozone to get codes read, one codes says it has to do with the 4x4....the truck is not a 4x4. looking at the records of the previous owner, he had the tranny replaced because of a shifting hard problem he had after it warmed up. I'm wondering if anyone has heard of the cpu or a sensor getting fried from the alternator going out? Thanks a dollar Wahooooooooooooo |
